Learning While Playing with Solitaire.org’s Games

Online Word Games

Okay, first things first. Don’t be deceived with the site name because they have a lot more to offer than just solitaire and so far, I am loving Solitaire.Org.

While yes, there is is Solitaire and other card games I love, what I love about this site are the online word games that not only allow one to “play” but at the same time, sharpen the mind 😉

Word games are not for everyone but for those of you who are into these kinds of entertainment, then Solitaire.Org has a range of online games for you. Here are some of the word games I loved:

I looooved this game but I realized my mommy brain does its own brain fog version thinking of what words to key in, LOL. But as you go through each game, you become better and better (just like any other endeavor you may have, I guess). This makes you remember old words you may otherwise forget because you don’t use them too often or just make you giddy to learn new words!

Well, who doesn’t love Word Search? My 6-year-old now loves Word Search games and I am so happy to have discovered something online that we can do together. Plus, it helps him gain new words, too, since he asks what are the meaning of the words he is trying to find! Two birds in one stone, yes!?

  • Crossword Puzzle (where I am a total bummer, lol)

I have never been really good at Crossword puzzles but maybe time to sharpen this skill, don’t you think?

Aside from the Word Games, I also love the Hidden Objects game. Haha. I played Hidden Objects from my phone a few years back and I just rediscovered how fun it was to play! Of course, I had to play the Hidden Games – Garden version because plants — need I say more? Haha!

The last one that really hooked me as well was, of course, Sudoku! I collected Sudoku books when I was younger and remembered the time when my husband and I played this, with pen and paper!

I love to play these amazing games together with my children. Santi and I prefer playing it on his laptop so we can work together creating or finding words or objects. It is another activity that we can do together with interaction.

Another PLUS point for me is that there is an “end” to the games so it doesn’t really go on forever and they don’t have to sink their teeth in the game the whole day.

I am very giddy to have discovered Solitaire.Org because it is easily accessible when I am taking breaks and need a breather from all the things I do.

Have you tried any games from the site? Let me know how you find them, loves!
